Stress and losing fat
More and more studies are concluding that stress makes losing fat more difficult. Here are some tips to prevent stress…
Allow plenty of time to get where you need to go or do
what you need to get done. Being rushed is a big source of stress.
Get plenty of sleep and take a 15 minute nap at mid-day.
Discuss problems and any stressful issues with a friend or family member. Expressing how you feel to those willing to listen and offer support will often make you feel much better and more relaxed.
Get organized. A messy office or cluttered desk will often result in stress, so if you keep things organized you'll stay calm and productive.
Seek a change in atmosphere. Getting away from your work - for even just 10 or 15 minutes - will help you collect your thoughts and refocus on the task at hand.
Laugh! Read one of your favorite joke books or watch a sit-com. Humor is a great stress-reliever.
Close your eyes and listen to soothing music.
Go through a vacation photo album. Reminiscing good memories can help relax you and reduce anxiety.
